Can Xbox / PS detect both of the pre-installed 500G hard drives at the same time?
No. Under PM mode, Xbox and PlayStation only detect one 500G hard drive due to console system limits. If you want to use the full 1TB capacity on game console, switch to RAID0 mode to combine the two pre-installed 500G drives into a single volume.
Why my PC sees two 500G drives but Xbox only sees one?
This is NOT product defect. The unit has two pre-installed 500G disks, PM mode outputs two independent disks. Game consoles only support one logical disk over a single USB port, so only one drive will be recognized under PM mode.
