NO. This solar powered camera ONLY supports 2.4g wifi camera frequencies. It is NOT compatible with 5GHz WiFi or 4G LTE cellular networks. Please ensure your router is set to 2.4GHz before connecting via the smart home app.
Does this outdoor ptz camera support 24/7 recording?
NO. To achieve low power consumption, this solar ptz camera features PIR motion activated recording. It utilizes AI human detection to record instantly only when movement is detected, which saves battery and avoids false alerts.
Do I need a cloud subscription to run this camera?
NO. You don’t need a cloud service if you choose to use a micro SD card for free local storage. This wifi camera unit offers a 7-day cloud storage trial; further use requires a subscription. Cloud subscription is completely optional and never forced.
Does this camera rotate automatically or via manual app control?
It is manually controlled via the app. This dual lens ptz camera outdoor system does not support automatic tracking. You can easily pan and tilt the lens through the HD Capture app to remotely check any angle of your yard.
How do I charge the camera if there is no sunlight for days?
You can easily bring the solar ptz camera indoors and recharge it using the included Type-C cable (power adapter NOT included). This low power consumption security camera is fully compatible with standard USB charging heads for safe indoor charging.
