Can I keep the settings from changing while it’s in my bag?
Yes. Press and hold the lock button for about 3 seconds to disable the other controls and help prevent accidental button presses. Hold it again to unlock.
Is it easy for seniors to use?
Yes. It has separate physical buttons for band selection, tuning, station search, alarm and sleep settings, plus a side volume wheel. The LCD screen clearly displays the time, selected band and radio frequency.
Can I save the stations I listen to most?
Yes. The PR-803 automatically stores available stations during a scan. Use the Station+ and Station− buttons to move through the saved stations later.
Will it turn itself off if I listen before bed?
Yes. Set the sleep timer for 90, 60, 45, 30, 15 or 10 minutes, and the radio will shut off automatically when the time runs out.
Does it include a light for dark rooms or nighttime use?
Yes. Press and hold the power/light button for about 3 seconds to turn the light on, and press and hold it again to turn the light off.
