Why can’t the camera connect to Wi-Fi or the app, or why is it unstable?
Keep the camera within 7m of your router, ensure your phone and camera are on the same Wi-Fi, and disable AP isolation on your router. If issues persist, remove the G5 Pro from the Home app, delete and reinstall Aqara Home, and restart your phone.
Why is there a delay in recording after motion is detected?
In the app, adjust “Detection Sensitivity” and “Detection Frequency” to higher levels for faster recording and fewer missed events.
Does the camera have IR lights? Does it support night vision?
G5 Pro uses advanced “True Color Night Vision” instead of IR lights, giving color images even at 0.01 Lux. In total darkness, you can turn on the built-in spotlight. So the camera is not equipped with infrared light.
How can I confirm if my desired installation spot is suitable?
Make sure the area has a strong Wi-Fi signal (within 7m of the router with no obstructions). We include a 2m USB-C to USB-C cable; you can use up to a 5m cable. Ensure a power outlet is available within that range.
Does the package include a power adapter?

For visual detection, G5 Pro can recognize faces, individual vehicles, animals, perople, and can distinguish if they are lingering. It also supports Lens Obstruction Detection and Package Detection. For abnormal sound detection, this camera for home security can detect babies crying, alarm sounds, barking and coughing. This feature enables you to record key events and trigger automations even during an internet outage.
Hub & Matter Bridge- Wifi camera G5 Pro acts as a hub with both Aqara Zigbee (Not third-party Zigbee devices) and Thread dual protocols, it can connect up to 80 Aqara Zigbee Sub-devices or 40 thread sub-devices, or 20 Aqara Zigbee Sub-devices and 20 Thread sub-devices. This wifi security camera integrates third-party matter devices into the Aqara Home app and exposes existing Aqara devices to Matter-compatible platforms like Apple Home, Alexa, and Google Home. *Compatibility depends on device type, ecosystem support, and the presence of a Matter Controller.
