Easily Charge the Rechargeable Battery
Our smart lock is equipped with rechargeable batteries that only requires a few hours to fully charge, and it can last up to 6 months on a single charge. Through the interior USB-C port, you can recharge the device with a powerbank anytime, removing battery anxiety for good.
Dual Power System
The lock body is powered by a rechargeable lithium battery, while the keypad runs on four AAA batteries. Each power source provides around 6 months of battery life, ensuring reliable operation for both the interior lock and exterior keypad.
Check Compatibility Before Purchase (Requires an Existing Deadbolt) Ensure Your Door Has a Removable Deadbolt
Make sure your door already has a deadbolt installed and that the rotary knob can be removed.
To check compatibility in the following steps, you’ll need to remove the interior cover of the deadbolt first.
Check Tailpiece Compatibility
Ensure the tailpiece shape and dimensions match one of the five types shown in the diagram.
Check Bore Hole Size
Ensure the bore hole diameter is between 1-1/2″ and 2-1/8″ (38–54 mm).
Check Tailpiece Length
The tailpiece must be 1–21 mm, or be able to be trimmed or replaced to fit within this range for compatibility with U200.
Can the Aqara U200 connect to Wi-Fi for remote control?
The U200 requires a Matter-enabled hub to connect to the internet. Only when paired with such a hub can it be controlled remotely through the hub’s compatible app.
Can the Aqara U200 work with other ecosystems like Apple HomeKit or Alexa?
Yes, but a Matter-enabled hub is required. You must use the hub corresponding to the ecosystem you want to connect, and note that available features may vary between platforms.
If I don’t have a compatible hub, can I still use the lock?
Yes. You can still use the basic features via Bluetooth in the Aqara app (like adding fingerprints, passcodes, and Auto Lock). However, features such as Home Key, remote unlocking, and automations will not be available.
Does this product support Apple Home Key?
Yes. The Aqara U200 supports unlocking with Apple Home Key, but it requires a Matter-enabled Apple hub (e.g., HomePod 2, HomePod mini, or Apple TV 4K 2021/2022).
Why is the fingerprint not unlocking the Aqara U200?
Ensure your finger and the sensor are clean and dry—wipe both with a clean cloth. Some fingerprints (e.g., children or elderly) may be too faint to recognize—try another family member to check if it’s a fingerprint or device issue.
