Q1: Will this work with my TV?

A: This system works with TVs that have Optical (TOSLINK) or AUX (3.5mm) audio output. TVs with HDMI-only audio output may require an HDMI audio adapter and compatible TV settings.

Q2: Can I connect the headphones directly to my TV via Bluetooth?

A: Some Bluetooth-enabled TVs can connect directly to the headphones. For more stable audio and better lip-sync when watching TV, using the included transmitter is recommended.

Q3: I connected everything, but there’s no sound from the headphones. What should I check?

A: If using Optical, make sure your TV’s Digital Audio Output is set to PCM. Many TVs default to Dolby or Auto, which can result in no sound. Restart the TV and transmitter after changing the setting.

Q4: Can the TV speakers and headphones play at the same time?

A: It depends on your TV. Only some TVs support simultaneous audio output through their settings. If not, the TV’s built-in speakers will be muted. In this case, you can use the transmitter base’s audio pass-through to connect a soundbar or external speaker.

Q5: Is this a hearing aid or suitable for severe hearing loss?

A: No. These are TV headphones designed to make dialogue clearer for users who want improved TV sound. They are not hearing aids.

Connect via Base (Recommended) Connect Transmitter and TV

Plug Optical cable into TV’s Optical Out & transmitter’s OPTICAL. Note: make sure connect the audio cable to the port labeled “TX Input from TV.”

Connect transmitter to power

Plug USB-C cable into transmitter and TV.

Adjust TV Sound Settings

Go to: Settings > Sound > Sound Output, select Optical.Set audio format to PCM to avoid no sound. Connect headphones & base

Slide power switch to ON.Wait 5s. Both LEDs turn solid when connected. If not solid, press pairing button on transmitter.

Connect via TV Bluetooth Keep the transmitter OFF

Ensure the transmitter’s power switch is in the “OFF” position.

Select the correct settings

Using your TV remote, go to:

Settings → Sound → Sound Output. Select Bluetooth Speaker List.

Put headphones in pairing mode

Slide & hold the power switch in the “PAIR” position for 3 seconds until the LED flashes red and blue.

Select “Avantree AS19”

Select ‘Avantree AS19’ from your TV Bluetooth speaker list.
