* Overheat: In red, the shredder is overheat and needs to cool down.

* Overload: Flashes in red, remove excess papers.

* All lights off: check the power supply and check if shredder head and the bin are both in correct position.

How often should I lubricate the document shredder?

Recommend using BONSEN professional shredder lubricant sheets (LS50) once or twice a month for maintenance. Note: DO NOT use, spray or keep any aerosol products in or around the shredder.

The crosscut shredder is jammed. What should I do?

Generally, you can press the “REV” button and pull up the paper at the same time. If there is a serious paper jam, you can press the “FWD” and “REV” buttons several times to clean the cutter, and then use tweezers and other tools to pick up the jam.

Why is the number of sheets that can be shredded lower than the maximum number of sheets described?

Please check if the paper is damp, contains plastic or too thick. Please don’t shred more than 14 sheets in one time so as to extend the life of this machine!

Why are there scraps of paper in the trash can and on the knives? Have I receive a used machine?

In order to ensure the quality of the shredder, we will test each shredder before leaving the factory, so there may be some scraps in the wastebasket. Please rest assured that all our machines are brand new.
