Is this an Ethernet splitter or an Ethernet switch?
This is an active 5-port Gigabit Ethernet switch and a practical alternative to a passive Ethernet splitter. Unlike a passive splitter, it lets multiple connected devices access the network at the same time, with no manual switching required.
How many devices can I connect?
The switch has five Gigabit Ethernet ports. Typically, one port connects to your router or network, leaving four ports for computers, TVs, game consoles, printers, NAS devices, and more.
Does this Ethernet switch include a power adapter, and what power supply does it require?
A USB power adapter is not included. The switch includes a 6 ft / 1.8 m USB-A to USB-C power cable and can be powered by any compatible 5V USB Port that provides at least 0.5A, such as a USB wall charger, computer, monitor, or docking station.
Does the USB-C port carry network data?
No. The USB-C port is for power only. Ethernet data is transmitted through the five RJ45 ports. No drivers or software setup are required.
