Why does the alarm go off when the door is closed or randomly?

This is most likely due to installation issues. Please make sure the small triangles on the alarm (the larger piece) and the magnet are aligned and placed as close together as possible. Avoid rapidly opening and closing the freezer within 1 second.

Will it work if my refrigerator has a large gap?

The distance between the alarm and the magnet should be ≤ 1.38 inches on non-metallic surfaces and ≤ 0.98 inches on metallic surfaces. If your refrigerator has a large gap, you can install part of the alarm suspended (our adhesive tape are strong).

Will it work if there’s a height difference between my refrigerator door and the main body?

Yes. Simply install the alarm on the higher side and raise the magnet using something like modeling clay for proper alignment.

Will it work if my refrigerator is close to the wall with a small gap?

You can install the magnet in the gap (magnet size: 0.47 × 0.5 × 1.8 inches), and place the alarm in a more spacious area. It can also be installed at the top of the refrigerator door or in other discreet locations.
