ELEGRP Straight Blade Extension Cord End Replacement Connector

Safety Enough: Each wire slide into a separate tube and to be tightened to prevent shorting or stray strands. Transparent terminal cover allows visual inspection of conductors and terminations.
Good to Use and Install: Ergonomic fluted body design with circular dent is ideal for gripping, turning and pulling. Face and body feature alignment make it easy to assemble. Grip screws are installed from the same side to make tightening easy.
How to Install?
Loosen assembly screws in face and separate device. If needed, back out cord clamp screws enough to allow the cord to fit between the two clamp halves. Insert cord through cord clamp and housing. Simply remove the minimum cord clamp if the cord dia. is 0.391″-0.655″.Strip cord jacket between 7/8″ and 1″ from cord’s end. Remove insulation exposing between 3/8″ and 1/2″ bare copper wire (see diagram 1a). Twist wire strands tightly together. Trim off cord fillers, if any.Insert bare copper wire into wire clamp and tighten each terminal screw 10-12 in-lbs. torque. Ensure insulation clears clamp; HOT conductor to BRASS terminal, NEUTRAL conductor to SILVER terminal, and GROUND conductor to GREEN hex screw.Assemble wired device body with housing. Align keyed housing with a key on the device’s body. Tighten assembly screws.Alternately tighten cord clamp screws 10-12 in-lbs. torque. Ensure cord clamp rests over cord jacket, not over conductors.
Note:
Built-in cord grip adjusts automatically for use with 18-12 AWG.
