What kind of doors are eufy Smart Lock E40 compatible with?

Compatible with most standard doors with a thickness of 35–55 mm. Installation is not recommended on doors with a storm door in front, as it may block the view. If your latch recess is round, contact eufy Support to get a round drive‑in faceplate.

Which eufy devices and systems are eufy Smart Lock E40 compatible with?

It supports connections with HomeBase 3, HomeBase Mini, HomeBase Pro, and eufy smart displays. Without a Homebase, it can also link to most eufy cameras, allowing you to remotely lock or unlock the door via live view on any device.

Does eufy Smart Lock E40 support integration with other smart home platforms?

It supports the Matter protocol, allowing integration with smart home ecosystems such as Apple Home. Currently, it cannot connect to HomeBase 3 and external smart home ecosystem gateway simultaneously.  Please contact for a solution if needed.

What should be noted when using the facial unlocking function?

You can store facial information for up to 50 family members. Facial recognition can only be used for unlocking, not locking.

What is the power supply method of this door lock? What happens if the battery runs out?

The door lock uses a dual power supply with a main battery and a built-in backup. When the main battery is low, the backup provides emergency power for facial recognition, fingerprint, or PIN unlocking; other functions are unavailable.
