What are polling rate and latency?

Polling rate (Hz)：Number of data frames sent to the host per second.

Latency (ms)：Time from pressing a button to host response.

So a 1000Hz polling rate does not mean the delay is 1000ms/1000 time= 1ms; 1ms is just the interval between each frame of data, not the

actual delay.

Q: Is higher polling rate always better?

A: Not really, every frame of data reported by the controller takes tirme for the computer to process, but the frame rate output by the computer for rendering is limited. Currently, the mainstream top displays operate around 240Hz. Excessive data (e.g., beyond 240Hz) may overload PCs without improving experience.
