A die-cast metal enclosure with no moving parts, IP30 protection, and a wide operating range from -35°C to +70°C, lets the IR624 ride out desert heat, oilfield winters and rooftop installations alike. Compliant with EN 61000-4 Level 3 EMC, IEC 60068 shock/vibration and free-fall standards, plus E-MARK and ECE R118 for in-vehicle deployment.

Will the IR624 work on US carrier networks?

Yes. The IR624 is the North-America SKU with full 5G NR Sub-6 and LTE band coverage, certified for use on Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile, plus FCC, IC and PTCRB. Drop in any major US carrier SIM and go online.

What happens when one carrier loses signal?

The IR624 holds two Nano-SIM cards and runs heartbeat link detection 24/7. If the primary SIM degrades or drops, it fails over to the secondary in seconds — no manual action. An embedded watchdog also auto-reboots the radio if anything ever hangs.

Can it survive outdoor / industrial conditions?

Yes. The fanless metal housing runs from -35 °C to +70 °C, rated IP30, with EN 61000-4 Level 3 EMC immunity and IEC 60068 shock, vibration and free-fall compliance. E-MARK / ECE R118 certified for vehicles and fleets.

Can it talk to my legacy PLC / Modbus equipment?

Yes. The IR624 ships with 1× RS232 + 1× RS485 (15 kV ESD) plus built-in Modbus RTU-to-TCP bridging and transparent TCP/UDP DTU mode. IPSec / L2TP VPN, firewall and 802.1X bring decades-old field gear securely into modern SCADA and cloud platforms.
