The Keychron Q2 Knob version is a fully customizable mechanical keyboard QMK/VIA support and full aluminum frame. Anyone can intuitively master any keyboard keys or macro commands (incl. the knob) through the VIA software. The Q2 is designed to be able to assemble easily, so you can customize the hardware and software with endless possibilities.

Designed to enhance your creative workflow, the premium rotary encoder also allows you to customize your favorite keys and macros through the VIA software with ease, such as zooming in/out, adjusting screen brightness, brush size, opacity, volume, selecting video clips or photos, or backlight hue.

Including the Knob

Simply connect the Q2 to your device with a cable, import the Q2 keymap JSON file into the VIA software, drag and drop your favorite keys or macro commands to remap any key you want on macOS, Windows, or Linux operating systems, e.g.: create a macro command of a screenshot on macOS. The screw-in design increases stability and makes it easier for changes and upgrades. Precise craftsmanship makes the stabilizers more stable and less wobbly. The big keys’ typing experience is now more stable and smooth. The Keychron Q2 also supports third-party stabilizers including Cherry or Durock.

Pre-lubed Gateron G Pro Switch

The pre-lubed Gateron G Pro mechanical switches come with an optimized mold with more precise positioning, and less wobbliness will certainly improve your fingertip feel. The Gateron switch is durable enough with an unrivaled tactile responsiveness on the linear red switch and up to 50 million keystroke lifespan.

Double-shot PBT Keycaps

The Q2 comes with our unique OSA profile (OEM profile with spherical-angle) and double-shot PBT keycaps that aim to provide a more comfortable and subtle fingertip feel with excellent oil resistance for long-term use.

Double-Gasket Design

This Double-Gasket Structure allows the keyboard to maintain the flexibility of the gasket structure and improves the overall typing sound. We added silicone pads between the top and bottom cases to significantly reduce the sound resonance between the metals and reduce the noise of the impacted metals. Each keyboard component could be reassembled easily, so you can customize it the way you want. If there is any problem with the keyboard, it can be repaired by reassembling.

Full Aluminum 65% Compact Layout

The Q2 is crafted with CNC machined 6063 aluminum that is processed through polished, anodized, sandblasted, and undergoes 24 more manufacturing stages to this compact 65% layout.

South-facing RGB Backlight

The south-facing RGB is designed to better illuminate the keyboard backlight from the typist’s angle with the premium non-shine-through PBT keycaps installed. The south-facing RGB is also free from interference when the user installs Cherry-profile alternative keycaps on their keyboard.

Wired Connectivity

A reliable USB Type-C wired connection with 1000 Hz polling rate and NKRO ensures a constant power supply, and best to fit home, office and light gaming.
