The difference between SSD’s nominal capacity and formatted actual capacity comes from calculation methods: Manufacturers label 1024GB as 1024GB×1000³ bytes (decimal); OS uses 1GB=1024MB (binary), so 1TB shows 953.7GB=1024GB×1000³÷1024³.

Why can’t the measured speed of an SSD reach 7300MB/s?

Interface restrictions require PCIe 4.0 motherboard. The maximum speed of PCIe 3.0 is 3500MB/s, so the speed will not reach 7300MB/s. Testing software, CPU, and 4K alignment will affect the results. Suggest testing on an empty drive.
