Can Nanoleaf Skylight be used with a dimmer switch?

Skylight is not compatible with a traditional dimmer switch. Dimming your Skylight can be done via the Nanoleaf app or through a smart home ecosystem.

Does Skylight require hardwiring, or can it be plugged into an outlet?

Skylight requires hardwiring–basic electrical experience is recommended for installation. If you do not have any experience, please consult a professional.

How many electrical contacts do I need to power my Nanoleaf Skylight?

One. Only the main controller panel will be hard wired using power lines on your ceiling.

How many panels can I connect together?

You can connect up to an additional 99 panels to the main controller panel.

Why is my Nanoleaf Skylight unreachable even when the product is lit up?

When you switch your Skylight on via a manual light switch, it takes about 30 to 90 seconds for it to finish booting up. After this, your Skylight should be reachable via the Nanoleaf App.

【Bring the Sky Inside】Nanoleaf Skylight’s modular flush mount ceiling light mimics natural daylight with soft, even illumination and reduced shadows. Start small or expand your layout—the more panels, the brighter the effect.
【Dynamic Color-Changing Animations】Customize lighting with over 16 million colors or warm-to-cool whites (2700K–6500K) on your Nanoleaf smart LED ceiling light. Set the mood with smooth transitions, or turn on Music Sync to watch lights react in real time to sound and music.
【Voice & App Control】Control your ceiling light fixture hands-free with Alexa, Google Assistant, or SmartThings. Use voice commands or customize colors, motions and more in the Nanoleaf App over Wi-Fi. Note: Works with 2.4GHz only.
【Smart Scheduling & Security】Automate your dimmable ceiling light to turn on/off while you’re away, or set schedules for waking up and winding down.
【Hardwiring Required】Each 11.8″” panel delivers 1400 lumens. Hardwire the main controller, then connect up to 99 panels for endless modular layouts. Not compatible with wall dimmers—use app or smart home for dimming.
