Product description

A good speaker, in our opinion, comes down to three things.
1. Superior sound.
One goal, two parts: drivers built to stay clear and steady when the music gets loud — and a dedicated positioning chip that places every vocal and instrument at a fixed point in front of you. The result is a 3D soundstage wide enough for the whole sofa.
2. Easy to use, ready for any scene.
Bluetooth 5.4, Optical and 3.5mm AUX cover TV, turntable, phone and PC. The wireless RF remote handles everything from the couch — no pointing required. Music, movies and gaming, one pair of boxes.
3. Silent when you rest.
A built-in noise gate keeps pauses hiss-free, and after 20 minutes of no signal, SW205 auto-sleeps — a quiet, classic presence in the room that makes you forget it’s there. This is Sanyun SW205.

3D Soundstage Positioning | The Whole Sofa Is the Sweet Spot
Imagine the concert hall unfolding in front of your sofa: violins to the left, cellos to the right, the vocalist dead center. A dedicated positioning chip reads the stereo image of your music and fixes every instrument at its own spot — not simulated surround, but a true front stage with depth. The sweet spot stretches from a single seat to the whole sofa: sit anywhere, and the stage is yours.

Proprietary Drivers | Clear and Steady Bass, Detailed Smooth Highs
One goal, two parts: bass that stays clear and steady when the music gets loud. A 4-inch glass fiber cone — rigid, naturally damped — holds its shape under pressure; Sanyun’s proprietary composite-magnet structure drives it with higher sensitivity and lower distortion. The result: fast, controlled bass at any volume. The 20mm silk dome tweeter is custom-tooled for detail without harshness, seated in a horn waveguide that spreads the highs wide and even — every seat on the couch stays inside the sweet spot.

Dual-Chip | One Masters the Signal, One Builds the Stage
Most powered speakers have one chip. SW205 has two. Ordinary powered speakers ask that single chip to do everything. SW205 runs two, in sequence. First, the master chip: it cleans up the incoming signal, handles the crossover, and tunes every driver to sound its best. Then the positioning chip takes that finished sound and does one thing only — 3D soundstage positioning, fixing vocals and instruments at points across your room. One makes it sound right. The other puts it in its place. One chip does everything. Two chips do it right.

High-Density Wooden MDF Cabinet | Solid Bookshelf Fundamentals
A high-density wooden MDF cabinet damps resonance so every driver performs exactly as designed — unlike plastic enclosures that color the sound. Around back, a mesh-covered bass reflex port lets the woofers breathe. What you hear is the music, not the box.

Every Input, DSP-Processed | Triple Connections, RF Remote Control
Bluetooth 5.4 — stable wireless from phones, tablets and laptops; one-press pairing from the remote.
Optical — pure digital from your TV or home theater, immune to interference.
Both run through the built-in 24-bit DAC — clean, detailed digital audio, straight from the source.
3.5mm AUX — analog sources are digitized through a built-in ADC, so even older gear enters the same DSP pipeline.
No bulky power brick — one AC cord, integrated supply, clean setup.

Controls & Knobs
Volume / Mode Knob — rotate for master volume; press to switch Bluetooth / Optical / AUX. Your daily driver.
Treble Knob — high frequencies, –4 to +4, center-detented at 0.
Bass Knob — low frequencies, –4 to +4, center-detented at 0.
How to dial in your sound: Before powering on, set Bass and Treble to 0 — the factory-tuned starting point. Listen, then adjust to taste. For quick changes from the couch, the remote fine-tunes bass on the fly — to restore your setting, simply return the knob to its position.
Pro Tip: Bass and Treble are calibration controls, not daily ones. Set them once to match your room, then let the volume knob and remote handle everyday listening. The LED shows the current mode. No app needed.

Q&A — Before You Decide
Q: Do I need an amplifier or receiver?
A: No. SW205 is fully powered — the amplifier is built into the right (main) speaker. Connect your TV, phone or player directly and play.
Q: How do I connect it to my TV?
A: Use the included optical cable: TV’s optical output to SW205, then select Optical with the remote. Any TV with an optical or headphone output works.
Q: Can I use a turntable?
A: Yes, through the 3.5mm AUX input. If your turntable has a built-in preamp, connect it directly; if not, place a phono preamp between turntable and speaker.
Q: Do I need a subwoofer?
A: For most setups, no. SW205’s 80W output and tuned bass port deliver full, controlled bass in small to medium rooms at normal to loud levels — and the Bass knob lets you shape the low end to your taste. One thing to know: SW205 has no subwoofer output, so it isn’t designed for adding an external sub later.

【A Proper 4-Inch Bookshelf Speaker — Built on Standard Architecture】SW205 is a standard powered bookshelf speaker with high-density wooden MDF cabinet (not plastic), a dedicated glass fiber woofer for mids and bass, a dedicated silk dome tweeter for highs, and an active crossover. 80W RMS total (40W per cabinet) gives the pair real headroom — enough for living-room listening across music, movies and gaming, no subwoofer required. On a bookshelf, a TV stand, or a desk: bookshelf sound, bookshelf simple.
【A Stage That Fills the Room — Not Just the Space Between the Boxes】Most compact 2.0 systems sound their best only in the narrow spot between the speakers. SW205 is tuned for real listening distances — from your desk to your couch. Vocals stay centered, guitars keep their place, and the stage holds from the left cushion to the right. How? A dedicated positioning chip. Proprietary composite-magnet drivers. Horn-loaded tweeters. Two boxes on a shelf. The whole sofa, in the sweet spot.
【Dual-Chip Design: One Masters the Signal, One Builds the Stage】SW205 runs two dedicated processors in sequence. First, the master chip: it cleans up the incoming signal, splits it for the crossover, and tunes every driver to sound its best. Then the positioning chip takes that finished sound and does one thing only — 3D soundstage positioning: placing vocals, instruments, and ambience at fixed points in your room, widening the sweet spot from a single seat to the whole sofa. One makes it sound right. The other puts it in its place.
【Proprietary Drivers: Composite-Magnet Glass Fiber Woofer + Silk Dome Tweeter】One goal, two parts: bass that stays clear and steady when the music gets loud. A 4-inch glass fiber cone — rigid, naturally damped — holds its shape under pressure; Sanyun’s proprietary composite-magnet structure drives it with high sensitivity and low distortion. The result: fast, controlled bass at any volume. The 20mm silk dome tweeter is custom-tooled for detail without harshness, seated in a horn waveguide that spreads the highs wide and even — every seat on the couch stays inside the sweet spot.
【Visible Engineering: Wooden MDF Cabinet + Horn Waveguide】A high-density wooden MDF cabinet damps resonance — the foundation every other piece of engineering stands on. Right on the front baffle, a horn waveguide around each tweeter spreads the highs wide and even, so every seat on the couch stays inside the sweet spot. Around back, a mesh-covered bass reflex port lets the woofers breathe. No plastic, no shortcuts: solid bookshelf fundamentals.
【Calibrate Once. Control From the Couch】Rear-panel Volume, Bass, and Treble knobs are center-detented — calibration controls, not daily ones. Daily control lives on the wireless RF remote: volume, tone, and input switching, no pointing at the speakers. A noise gate keeps pauses hiss-free; after 20 minutes of no signal, auto-sleep takes over to save power — and SW205 wakes the moment your music resumes. No app. No drivers. Nothing to manage.
