Do I have to buy an extra gateway to send codes when I’m away?
No gateway needed. The box creates time-sensitive PINs offline with a built-in crypto algorithm; the TTLOCK app just sends those numbers by text, so you can “open” it remotely without any additional hardware
What if I forget the code—am I locked out forever like with a traditional mechanical lock?
No. As the admin you can open the box anytime via Bluetooth in the TTLOCK app and instantly reset or change the code; there’s no risk of being permanently locked out or having to drill the lock.
Can I unlock the Thlevel Smart Key Lock Box remotely when I’m not on site?
You can open it while you’re away only by creating a time-limited PIN inside the app and sending that code to your guest; the box itself has no Wi-Fi, so you can’t tap “unlock” in the app like you do over Bluetooth when you’re standing next to it.
