Most universal remotes make you scroll to the right device before pressing power. Not the U3.
The TV Power button is a global key. It does its job instantly – no matter which device is active on the screen. No scrolling. No switching. Just press. It works.
Why does a global key matter?
Use it as a macro key. Assign “Movie Night” or “Good Night” to the TV Power button. One press, and everything happens – without selecting any device first.
Need two power buttons? Some original remotes have separate Power On and Power Off buttons. The Sofabaton U3 gives you one physical power button on the remote. With the TV Power global key, you can set one as Power On and the other as Power Off. Perfect for projectors, amplifiers, or any device without a single power toggle.
Customize every physical button. Use the Sofabaton app to remap every button on the U3 exactly the way you want. One physical button, two different commands – short press for one action, long press for another. For example, short press to play, long press to pause. One button, two functions. Your choice.
Not enough physical buttons? Add soft keys on the screen. Manually add soft buttons right from the app for even more control. Perfect for commands you use often but don’t have room for on the physical keypad.

Note: Works with Bluetooth-connected devices that support Google Voice. Not compatible with Apple TV (Siri), Fire TV (Alexa), or IR-only devices.
Air Mouse Function – Point, click, navigate like a wireless mouse.
Need to click a small button on screen or scroll through a tricky menu? Activate the Air Mouse function by pressing the button on the right side of the U3. An arrow cursor appears on your TV. Move the remote in the air to control the cursor – just like a wireless mouse for your TV.
Tip: For best results, point the U3 remote at the screen center when activating. If the cursor drifts, place the remote on a flat table for 6 seconds to recalibrate.
When You Upgrade From U2 to U3, You Get More Features
The U2 Universal Remote does not support RF. The U3 Universal Remote support RF Control,allowing it to work with more devices.
The U2 remote runs on disposable AA batteries that need regular replacement. The U3 remote features a built‑in rechargeable lithium battery – just plug it in and forget about buying batteries.
The U3 works with the SofaBaton R1 Repeater (sold separately). You don’t need to point the remote at your devices – just control from anywhere. Enjoy whole‑home IR signal coverage. This is something the U2 cannot do.
The U2 Bluetooth Remote does not support classic Bluetooth (such as PS4). The U3 Bluetooth Remote does – allowing you to connect multiple Bluetooth devices and switch between them with zero waiting.
The U2 does not support voice control. The U3 smart universal remote control works with Google Voice built-in devices – press the voice button of U3 and speak the vocie command to search for shows, change channels, or launch apps etc.
The SofaBaton U2 remote does not have Air Mouse Function. The SofaBaton U3 lets you point, click, and navigate like a wireless mouse – perfect for smart TVs and streaming apps.
