What kind of cameras are compatible with this DVR? Can it work with cameras from other brands?

This DVR works with most 5MP (at 12.5fps), 1080p, 720p and D1 cameras from ZOSI, Annke, Swann and Lorex, and select IP cameras from third party brands. This does not work with 4K/8MP cameras. Contact TIGERSECU to check compatibility before purchase.

Can it detect all moving objects or just humans/vehicles?

Yes, it detects moving objects like rainfall, animals, humans, and vehicles (but cannot differentiate them). Motion detection zones and sensitivity are adjustable to reduce false alarms. Note: It does not support Motion Detection for IP cameras.

Does it allow remote viewing on a smartphone?

Yes, free remote access to this TIGERSECU DVR is available on iPhone, Android, PC and Mac with our easy-to-use TIGERSECU HD Viewer App and CMS client. TIGERSECU does not require a contract, subscription, or fees for app installation or use.

Can this security DVR capture audio recording?

Yes, this DVR can record audio as long as your camera has a built-in microphone. If your camera doesn’t have a built-in mic, this DVR has audio input ports on 4 channels (channel 1, 2, 3, and 4) for connecting external microphones (sold separately).

Are accessories like cables included in the package? What’s in the box?

The package includes one 1080P 8-channel security DVR with pre-installed 2TB surveillance-grade hard drive, one 12V 5A DVR power supply, one DVR remote control, a USB mouse, and a user manual. (Video cable for camera connection is not included.)

This DVR is compatible with 2MP/5MP HD TVI, AHD, CVI, CVBS and RS485 PTZ security cameras. For optimal performance, use this TIGERSECU DVR with TIGERSECU security cameras.
Remotely access and play surveillance footage and control the security DVR with no contract or monthly fees with the TIGERSECU HD Viewer app. For optimal performance, 1 Mbps network upload speed is recommended for each 1080P camera. Bitrate settings can be adjusted in the DVR to accommodate slower network speeds. Mobile app requires iOS 9.3 or later and Android 9 or later.
This DVR has a 16TB memory storage capacity, and comes pre-installed with a new 2TB surveillance hard disk drive for over 10+ days of continuous local recording at the highest resolution. Motion detection options allow you to record only when motion is detected to save hard drive space.
