Product description

Motorized ball valves offer an energy-efficient alternative to solenoid valves, especially for prolonged positioning. They mainly consume energy during opening and closing, with negligible amounts once fully opened. This allows for permanent connection without the risk of overheating or burning out.

U.S. Solid Motorized Ball Valve 3/4″ SS Ball Valve with Full Port, 9-24V AC/DC and 3 Wire Setup
This valve comes in stainless steel. It is 3/4″ in diameter, and is full port. This means the diameter of the opening in the ball is a full 3/4″. If you are using this for a system where pressure is important, or with mixed materials, where restrictions on flow can lead to the separating of the material, a full-bore ball valve is your best option. These valves are not intended for situations where fast action closing or opening is needed, as they do take a few seconds to fully open and close.
Wiring your new Motorized Ball Valve 3 Wire
DC: Connect the yellow wire to the negative pole(-). The valve will open when the red wire is connected to the positive pole(+), and close when the blue wire is connected to the positive pole(+). Disconnecting any wire will maintain the valve’s current state.
AC: Connect the yellow wire to any pole. The valve will open when the red wire is connected to the other pole, and close when the blue wire is connected to the other pole. Disconnecting any wire will maintain the valve’s current state.
Cherished by DIY Community, Approved by Engineers
Meticulously tested and performance-rated parts ensure quality. With a lifespan of up to 100,000 cycles, the valve operates in 3-5 seconds; higher voltage enables quicker opening and closing. The robust 2Nm torque in the stem, often overlooked, is crucial for enduring serious torque without failure.
Precision Threading How to Install the Motorized Ball Valve?
This motorized ball valve features standard NPT threading, commonly used in U.S. piping. The tapered threading enhances connection sealing, requiring pipe thread tape for installation. Meticulously manufactured and tested, ensuring precise threading for straightforward installation. Apply pipe thread tape tightly to the male pipe end to facilitate a secure connection. Screw tightly into the valve to maintain a leak-free connection throughout its lifespan.
What is the Waterproof Rating of this valve?
The motor’s housing is rated at IP65 for ingress protection. If permanently installed outdoors, it is recommended to place it under a shelter or in a protective box to prevent prolonged exposure to rain. For more details, please refer to Picture 1.
What is the difference between N.C. (Normally Closed) and N.O. (Normally Open) ?
In a N.C. valve, it’s closed without power and opens when energized. Conversely, in a N.O. valve, it’s open without power and closes when energized, blocking fluid or gas flow. For more details, please refer to Picture 2.
What is the difference between Full Port and Standard Port?
In a full port valve, the internal diameter of the valve is the same as the pipe it’s connected to. In a standard port valve, the internal diameter of the valve is smaller than the pipe size. For more details, please refer to Picture 3.
Can this be used for Drinking Water?
YES. The motorized ball valve is made of lead-free stainless steel and is NSF certified.
