No software needed, it’s plug and play. Work with device that has an USB port.

Note:

1.Only work on device with USB port, not for smartphone, tablet and iPad directly. If you want to use scanner in phone or tablet, you need to order an USB Female OTG adapter.

2.Some MacBooks do not have an USB port, to use this barcode scanner on it, you will need an USB-C to USB adapter.

3.Please confirm that the USB cable is securely connected fixed to the USB interface on the device being used, because loose USB interfaces will cause the scanner to malfunction or have poor connection, this will lead the scanner doesn’t work consistently.

NOTE:

1. Can’t read any type 2D barcode，like QR，DataMatrix, PDF417，Maxicode etc.

2. Can’t read 3D code

4. Scanning laser need to completely cover the barcode, if barcode can’t read, please adjust the scanning distance and Angle.

If scanner can’t scan barcodes, please follow these steps to troubleshoot

（1）Please confirm that the USB cable is securely connected fixed to the USB interface on the device being used. Because loose USB interfaces will cause the scanner to malfunction or have poor connection, this will lead the scanner doesn’t work .

(2) Please confirm the red laser completely cover the barcode.

(3) Please confirm the barocde is 1d liner barcode, because this 1D barcode scanner can’t read any type 2D barcode，like QR，DataMatrix, PDF417，Maxicode etc.
